I lost my Postman data

Note: The Scratch Pad has officially reached its end of life as of September 15. If you can't see your data, make sure you're using the latest Postman version and that you're signed in to your Postman account. Then go to Settings > Data > Migrate data. For more in-depth instructions, check out our Help Center article: I lost my data after migrating from the Scratch Pad.

You are experiencing one of the following issues

What to expect

  • Once a collection is removed from a workspace, it is no longer visible in that workspace.

  • Your team owns any data shared in a team workspace (including private workspaces). When you leave the team, the data stays with your team. Only the data that isn't shared remains in your personal workspace.

  • If the autosave functionality isn't turned on in your settings, your requests won't be saved automatically. Note: If you have sent your requests, you can recover them from the History.

I can't find my collections after updating the app

  • Check here if you can locate your collections.

  • If syncing was not working as expected, or you had unsaved requests before updating the app, the most recent data might not have synced to our servers. Check the History to recover your work.

I lost all my collections after leaving my team

If your organization allows it, contact the Admin of your former team so they can export the data you want to regain access to. Note: Postman can't add you back to your previous team or help you recover access to your data.
